Welcome!

The Cub Scouts of Mechanicville Pack 34 participated in Scouting for food over the first two weekends in November.  This has become a well known tradition in the City of Mechanicville with a great many of our citizens looking forward to contributing toward answering the needs of our community.  Over the course of the three days nearly 50 cub scouts and their families took part in this service project.  In accepting the responsibility to contribute as citizens in the larger community and by participating in these types of service projects the Cub Scouts are putting into practice values which are in the highest tradition of Scouting.  The 2009 Scouting for Food Drive raised over 1800 food and personal care items as well as cash donations for the food pantry at the Mechanicville Area Community Center.
